Attention! A special bus operates between Tartu and Tõravere. The bus departs from AHHAA (front side of the centre) at 18.30 and back to town from Tõravere Observatory at 21.50.

Program (when the sky is clear):
  • Starting from 20: stargazing with a 1,5 m telescope
  • Starting from 20: sky observations with a portable MEADE telescope. The telescope is outside on the festival grounds
  • Visual observations: what kind of constellations can you see?
  • Virtual planetarium program Starry Night in the Stellarium
  • Exhibition of Stellarium and discussions with astronomists
  • Exciting astronomy-themed videos in Stellarium
  • At 20: Kaupo Voormansik talks about the traces of urbanism in space and its connections to the health of people
  • At 21 (in the main building): See the "Earth Station" used for controlling satellites
  • At 21 (in the main building): Discussion on remote sensing and its possibilities
