What happens when wind, sun, water and earth meet? Come to the Pernova Nature House and discover the world of energy through games, experiments and exciting workshops!

During Pernova’s Researchers’ Night you can set energy in motion through play! In addition, the spherical cinema awaits you with its fascinating films, an energy café, and an exciting pop‑up exhibition.

Listen to how wind energy is created, find out what can be done with the help of the sun, and learn whether it is possible to get electricity without wires. The evening is suitable for the whole family – there is plenty to explore and take part in for both young and grown‑up science enthusiasts!

Kas elekter võib olla nähtav? Kas gaasil on jõudu? Miks lähevad riided särtsu täis? Kui palju energiat peitub sinu lemmikjoogis?

25. septembril muutub Pernova Loodusmaja üheks suureks energia avastusrajaks.

NB! Benjamini ettekanne toimub inglise keeles!

Can electricity be visible? Can a gas have power? Why do clothes get full of static? How much energy is hidden in your favourite drink?

On 25 September, the Pernova Nature House will turn into one big energy discovery trail. Move freely between different activity stations, experiment on your own, ask questions and explore how energy works all around us.

In the circuit workshop, you can assemble your own electric circuit and examine the components it consists of. We will also talk about how electrical energy is produced and how it reaches our homes.

In the chemistry workshop you will encounter static electricity, kinetic energy, bubbles, gases and invisible energy. We will investigate whether gas has force, which gas is especially energy‑rich, and how all of this relates to Newton’s Third Law.

In the pop‑up workshops we will look for electricity in places where it is not immediately visible. You will learn what “static” really is, why clothes become charged, how lightning forms, and whether electricity can also be found inside the human body.

In the Energy Game you can solve energy‑trail domino challenges and other puzzles. You can also explore the wind turbines and solar panels of the Pernova Nature House.

Guest speakers will bring a broader perspective. Peeter Viik will talk about off‑grid electrical solutions—from solar power to hydrogen. Benjamin Duerksen will introduce the technical solutions of wind farms and the development of wind energy. NB! Benjamin’s presentation will be in English.

At the pop‑up exhibition ‘Guess What!’ you can compare the sugar, caffeine and energy content of young people’s favourite drinks and snacks. Throughout the evening, the spherical cinema will screen various films, including the new animation ‘3‑2‑1 Lift‑off!’.

If you want to understand how the world around us works, come and get hands‑on. At the Pernova Nature House you will find sparks, bubbles, wind power and a whole evening full of discoveries!
